Today I feel reticent to write… not certain why. Maybe just a tad bit melancholy as summer seems to be waning. Went for a swim yesterday in the lake. The water, churned up by seasonal patrons had a bit of a chill at the lower levels it had not had the week before and a few leaves lolled about the shore.

Time moves forward…things are ready to change.

Normally, I would be the cheerleader that stands at the edge of this season and rallies its way out the door- but there is something different about this summer that makes me sad to see it leave. Perhaps it is because it was the first summer under this roof- with this view and the promise of an untainted future. From here on out, everything becomes about building memories in this space. No longer searching for a home, we have created one here and it feels solid. The children came and went yesterday and it now feels more settled. Their life is an hour away and while I rue the distance, because I work there- I have access to them more often than naught and that tends to keep me sane.

School starts up again for me next week and it will be back to the grindstone. Minutes for casual stream of conscious writing will fall by the wayside as more determined tasks require my attention. The fall show is upon me as well and so with much to do, I wander between my need to edit the book and my need to enjoy this last bit of literary freedom.

You will want to know about Charley of course… what he’s thinking… has he come through of late… what more can he share…what are the signs?

Another psychic has come through and finally I can put the identitiy of G’s lover to rest. Grim knows who I am talking about, for the association to him is strong too. Wow…. how to sell this one? Who would ever believe this man was in so deep? The stakes are high-sky high!

I saw a feather yesterday. It floated at the shore beside my foot. I was happy to see it, for it meant I had not lost the connection to the other side. This has been a remarkable year, filled with living on so many levels. For those of you who see the 11:11 and the numbers patterns: 111, 222, 333, 444, 555, 666, 777, 888, 999 and all the crazy combinations in between… tilt your eyes to the skies and keep your mouths hushed and yours ears open. Something is happening. A global awakening if you will- a time when the veil between life and death is thinned. Speak to those you have lost- ask them for guidance and support on this side. Listen to what they have to say…learn the shorthand of the dead, for their Karma is to help us become our higher selves.

A feather… a small and insignificant feather floated in the water. They are always a sign and Charley has never defaulted on signs. What message will he bring me today?

The agent wants me to give the book a new title, so I will work on that. I can tell you that for a brief second, I bandied about the title of, “Grim’s Fairytale.”  Catchy, eh? I thought so too. But then I realized; it’s not really my job to flatter him- it’s to convict him… so I’m torn.

“GRIM’S FAIRYTALE”… or maybe, “A GRIM FAIRYTALE.”

I know, I know…it’s not all about him. But in a sense… it is! Oh… but here’s my favorite so far.

Picture the cover art: a coffee cup being held by a woman’s hand with bright red fingernails. She is pouring out the last drop of coffee from it… but it’s actually a drop of blood. The Title will read, “Good to the Last Confession.” Don’t you just love it? My husband says it sounds like a chick book, but he hasn’t read it yet! What do you think?

You’re right…either way? It’s still all about Grim!
